The ‘prestigious’ British medical publication The Lancet published a report praising China’s one-child policy with which the Chinese government forced for decades to abort the second child of each family.

Furthermore, it assures that the CCP managed to ‘lift’ millions out of poverty with this perverse practice, ignoring the hundreds of millions of Chinese living in extreme poverty. China has the largest gap in the world between rich and poor.

The publication entitled “the Lancet Commission on 70 years of reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH) in China” praises the ‘achievements’ of the Chinese regime and how it was adapting its policies to deal with socio-cultural changes.

But it completely ignores that to implement the one-child policy, the Chinese government forced abortions that often ended in the death of the woman and/or severe damage to her reproductive system and used force to sterilize women Uighurs in Xinjiang being the most well-known case.

The report focuses on what it defines as “Women’s reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH)” and says that the CCP takes women’s health and children’s future very seriously.

The Lancet states that “in past decades, China’s RMNCAH has made remarkable achievements in development goals related to reducing maternal and child mortality.” However, hundreds of reports indicate that under the cloak of these so-called policies, the CCP carries out ethnic cleansing, religious and ideological persecution, and inhumanely subjects the population to its dictatorship.

Interestingly, the authors of the Lancet report are mostly Chinese ‘scholars’ from prestigious Chinese universities,, and the publication reads more like a propaganda piece than a scientific study.

CCP ‘family planning’ in Xinjiang

What witnesses say is part of the CCP’s ethnic cleansing is the CCP’s ‘family planning’ by which it forcibly places IUD’s into Uighur women in Xinjiang province.

Dr. Hasiyet Abdulla, a Uighur obstetrician who worked for 15 years in hospitals in Xinjiang province, revealed that hospitals in the region are forced to perform forced abortions and even kill newborn babies if they are out of ‘family planning.

According to the doctor, who now resides in Turkey, and who worked at the Xinjiang Autonomous Region’s Uighur Traditional Medicine Hospital, the maternity ward of every hospital in the province has the CCP’s ‘family planning’ policies in place, which dictate that women in rural areas can have up to 3 children and in urban areas two, and that there must be a three-year gap between births.

Babies born in the hospital outside the limits of family planning, “they killed them and disposed of the body. They did not give the baby to the parents, they kill them when they are born,” the obstetrician explained.

According to the doctor, each hospital has a unit dedicated to keeping records of all births. Thee unit is in charge of carrying out abortions that have not complied with the three-year waiting period or exceed the limits imposed. Similarly, this unit implants the intrauterine device or IUD in women after they give birth.

The case of Falun Dafa

According to a report by Minghui.org, a Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Zhang Hanyun, from Shanxi province “had her eight-month fetus surgically dismembered inside her so as to clear the way to send her to a brainwashing center.”

Ms. Hanyun’s case is the tip of an iceberg illustrating the methods used by the Chinese Communist regime to ‘transform’ Falun Dafa practitioners, i.e., to force them to renounce their faith through torture, in this case, a late-term abortion of an unborn baby.

Due to the strict information blockade in China, it is not possible to collect data on all cases because to send this kind of sensitive information to the West, in addition to needing special software to bypass China’s firewall, people are exposed to arrest, torture and even murder for leaking this kind of news that exposes the CCP if their identity is revealed.

China’s unknown poverty

Lancet further states that the CCP has helped ‘control overpopulation, cut poverty and lack of resources,’ however, due to the one-child policy, there is an unnatural imbalance between the number of men and women in China, and strict birth control has also aged the population, which as a consequence generated a lack of young labor for jobs of a physical nature.

Perhaps killing babies in abortions is an acceptable way to ‘control overpopulation’ for The Lancet.

Anyway, according to a South China Metropolis Journal study, the richest 5% of Chinese in the country earn a quarter of all wages in China.

The study says that the per capita net income of the average Chinese household is 13,033 yuan ($2,123), but for families in the bottom 5 percent, the average is only 1,000 yuan ($163).

In other words, China has one of the largest gaps between rich and poor in the world.

The report further discredits the Lancet

The Lancet once enjoyed prestige for its accurate scientific publications, but the report praising the CCP, besides functioning as a propaganda tool that the Chinese regime will use to validate its legitimacy, the ‘achievements’ described in the paper are absolutely false and misleading put in the context of the constant human rights violations of the CCP such as the genocide of the Uighurs in Xinjiang, the persecution of Falun Dafa and house Christians, among others.

At the same time, the publication has been used to encourage people to get vaccinated against the coronavirus by arguing the effectiveness of experimental vaccines that, to date, has caused more than 3700 deaths in the United States alone.
