A longtime weatherman in Michigan announced on Facebook on Wednesday, Sept. 15, that he would no longer work for the local station WLUC-TV6 due to vaccination mandates imposed by its parent corporation. Karl Bohnak, who worked for WLUC-TV6 for more than 30 years as a weather reporter, claims he was dismissed because he refused to get vaccinated against COVID-19. His resignation is similar to that of other professionals who have resigned or been terminated due to their refusal to take the jab. Gray Television, which owns WLUC-TV6, requires anybody accessing a facility controlled by the business to provide proof of vaccination, according to Bohnak. Bohnak explained his personal decision and the professional consequences in a now-viral Facebook post. “Today, it is with a heavy heart, I announce after over 33 years, I am no longer employed at TV6,” Bohnak announced. “I have decided against the vaccine option, first and foremost, because the manufacturers of these injections have absolutely no liability of injury or death occurs after the shot. I asked myself, would I buy brakes for my vehicle if the brake company had no liability if the brakes failed? No! So, I will certainly not allow a medicine in my body from a company that does not stand behind its product.”
