A woman was nearly in tears after she spent weeks preparing ‘Friendsgiving’ dinner for her so-called pals, but none of them showed up for the event.
Christian Zamora, who goes by the username @Kidalloy on TikTok, explained that his girlfriend spent two weeks decorating the entire basement then cooked a huge feast for her friends, New York Post reported.
Sadly, no one showed up. Zamora added that they even didn’t send his girlfriend a message to let her know that they wouldn’t be attending.
“My girlfriend was so excited for her first Friendsgiving but no one showed up,” he wrote in the clip, showing his girlfriend looking close to tears.
“She decorated the whole basement and cooked so much food. I keep trying to cheer her up but nothing is working.”
In the video, the space was decorated and tables were full of food, as well as the empty seats beside his partner.
“My girl and her friends decided to throw a Friendsgiving like two weeks in advance, they were planning this for two weeks,” he explained.
“They were planning everything, everything was all set—the date, the time, and everything. They were all gonna come.
“But the day came and no one was answering the group chat. No one was texting or calling, but in her mind, she thought everyone was running late. When it hit the three-hour mark, she was like: ‘Yeah no one’s gonna come.'”
The video now has racked up more than 14 million views.
Maryann, who was also in the video, claimed she was no longer friends with the people who ditched her dinner.
“But it was a great night, his friends and his brother showed up. We had a great time,” she said.
“They brought drinks and stuff, it was a fun night. I was disappointed at the time but it turned out to be a really good night.”
People flocked to the comment section to express their anger with her so-called friends.
“This is the problem nowadays,” one user wrote.
“No integrity, no honour, no appreciating or value in our connections. Glad she had a happy ending,” another said.
