President Donald Trump continues to be recognized as the commander in chief of our military forces. The high command refused to obey the request of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to prevent him from accessing the nuclear codes.
This was reported by Col. Dave Butler, spokesman for Army Gen. Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who confirmed Pelosi’s call asking him to ignore Trump’s orders to use those codes, according to the Western Journal on Jan. 9.
The officers are very clear about their commitment to follow the orders of the president who “is still the commander in chief,” unless he is removed from office. Failure to do so would amount to a military coup.”
Since there does not appear to be any specific threat from President Trump, Pelosi’s call would be motivated by political ends alone.
After nearly four years of failure to remove President Trump from office, the Democrats insist on doing so with only nine days left to his term.
One of the options they intend to use is the application of the 25th Amendment through which Vice President Mike Pence would take office.
However, some analysts argue that this option is inapplicable and therefore illegal because it does not meet the specifications of the amendment, which was approved for cases in which the president is physically and mentally unable to fulfill his duties as the head of the nation.
According to former Sen. Birch Bayh (D-Ind.), who drafted the amendment, the word “unable” meant “an impairment of the president’s faculties” such that he was “unable either to make or communicate his decisions as to his own competency to execute the powers and duties of his office.”
Other observers pause to consider the possible motivations of Pelosi and the Democrats for insisting, almost desperately, on President Trump’s immediate removal from office so soon.
Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney, spoke out on Jan. 8, from the White House, according to a video attached to a tweet from user @lyne_ian.
“Lt. General Thomas McInerney, speaking at the White House yesterday,” began @lyne_ian.
He added, “He says white hats (good guys, part of special forces) got Nancy Pelosi’s laptop during the breach of the Capitol on Wednesday. He says she’s frantic, and this is why she’s pushing to impeach Trump,” using the 25th Amendment.

Another possibility is that the Democrats want to avoid the consequences of 222,286 sealed investigations being conducted across the country, apparently for serious corruption crimes, according to a tweet from the user @EshaLovesJesus.
“Indictments, indictments and more indictments…. why do you think they want to get rid of Trump so badly,” she wrote.
