The Git Up Challenge is one thing that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Blanco Brown’s song “The Git Up” made the rounds on the internet after being released in May of 2019. People from all over the world started filming and uploading videos of themselves dancing to the country-rap track.
But not just any dance will do; moves like the butterfly, two-step and the hoedown make “The Git Up” viral.
The fact that people of all ages and professions have taken part in the challenge is incredible.
There are a few crucial guidelines for doing “The Git Up,” according to music artist Blanco Brown. “Two rules, have fun, and have something to drink in your hand,” he said during his dance tutorial.
You don’t have to act serious all of the time just because you have a serious job. After seeing a few of these videos go viral, Officer Nae Nae decided to get involved and make his own version – “Git Up Challenge – DUI EDITION.”
According to Nae Nae, the idea was simple: after being pulled over and asked to conduct a sobriety test in front of an officer, make someone dance to “The Git Up.”
A police officer stopped a young man who asked him whether he has been drinking in a video below. The kid said he hasn’t; the cop told him to get out of the car and take a test anyway.
The young man sat back on the hood as the cop demonstrated what he needs him to do to prove he is sober. The cop also displayed some awesome dance moves while going through everything he wanted to see from the allegedly drunk kid. The kid was given a chance to prove his innocence; however, it is clear that he has been “drinking” as soon as he began to dance.
Of course, the song eventually ends, and the cop was left with no choice but to arrest the young driver for driving.
This video is a hilarious parody of a famous dance trend.
