Anthony Fauci’s federal retirement package will be the biggest federal retirement package in U.S. history-more than $350,000 per year as Forbes reported.

The auditors estimated the annual retirement of 81-year-old Fauci at OpenTheBooks.com. His pension and allowance will tend to increase through a yearly cost of living adjustment.

Fauci is now the President’s Chief Medical Adviser. However, during the administration of George W. Bush in 2004, Fauci earned a “permanent pay adjustment,” which resulted in a significant wage increase.

According to documents from the nonprofit OpenTheBooks.com, Dr. Fauci’s salary adjustment is “appropriately compensate him for the level of responsibility… especially as it relates to his work on biodefense research activities.”

Fauci’s salary increased by 68 percent from $200,000 to $335,000 per year between 2004 and 2007. This prize is indefinite and will last till 2020.

Fauci was the highest-paid government employee for the second year in a row, surpassing the president, four-star generals, and about 4.3 million of his peers. He has spent 55 years working for the federal government.

Fauci earned $434,312 in 2020 as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), up from $417,608 in 2019.

For the last three years, Fauci’s salary has been announced: $399,625 in 2018, $417,608 in 2019, and $434,312 in 2020.

As a government employee, Fauci earned $1,252 million from 2018 to 2020.

Dr. Fauci is also likely to be eligible for federal government-funded annuities. Federal employees can get “2 percent of [their] high-3 average salary for each year” after serving for ten years.

In the year 2000, Dr. Fauci joined the Ready Reserve Corps. A variety of distinct retirement calculations for Corps officers are included in the U.S. Code.

The highest 36 months are factored into the corps officer’s pension calculation (compared to the highest three years for CSRS-the Civil Service Retirement System).

However, Fauci has no intention of leaving his office. “There’s no way I’m going to walk away from this until we get this under control. I mean, that’s the purpose of what we do. That’s – that’s our mission in life. In the middle of it, I’m not going to walk away,” he said, according to Forbes.
