Former President Donald Trump launched his own communication platform, enabling him to speak directly to his followers. This platform has begun posting messages from the former president.
Trump started the platform after months of being blocked by popular social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook over the claims he incited the riots on Capitol Hill on Jan. 6.
The new platform is called “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump,” with the address: www.DonaldJTrump.com/desk.
Followers can view the 45th president’s posts, photographs, and videos and share them on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.
There is currently no way for users to comment on or interact with the platform’s posts.
Users may sign up to receive updates when Trump posts a new message by entering their phone numbers and email addresses on the web.
Trump’s former campaign manager Brad Parscale initially developed the technology for Campaign Nucleus, a “digital ecosystem made for efficiently managing political campaigns and organizations,” that appears to have provided the technology for Trump’s new platform.
In his introduction to the new platform, Trump mentioned the Save America movement.
He wrote: “Over the past four years, my administration delivered for Americans of all backgrounds like never before. Save America is about building on those accomplishments, supporting the brave conservatives who will define the future of the America First Movement, the future of our party, and the future of our beloved country.”
“Save America is also about ensuring that we always keep America First, in our foreign and domestic policy. We take pride in our country, we teach the truth about our history, we celebrate our rich heritage and national traditions, and of course, we respect our great American Flag.”
In one of the posts on Monday, May 5, Trump continued to criticize Rep. Liz Cheney, who said on Twitter that the 2020 presidential election was not stolen and said that “Anyone who claims it was is spreading THE BIG LIE, turning their back on the rule of law, and poisoning our democratic system.”
In the post, Trump wrote:
“Liz Cheney is a warmongering fool who has no business in Republican Party Leadership. We want leaders who believe in the Make America Great Again movement, and prioritize the values of America First. Elise Stefanik is a far superior choice, and she has my COMPLETE and TOTAL endorsement for GOP Conference Chair. Elise is a tough and smart communicator!”
On Monday, he wrote on the new platform that: “The Fraudulent Presidential Election of 2020 will be, from this day forth, known as THE BIG LIE!”
According to Fox News, Trump’s advisers said that the former president planned to “move forward” to create a social media platform of his own.
