A pro-law enforcement movement attracted crowds of supporters in the nation’s capitol who applauded first responders.

The BLEXIT Foundation organized a peaceful protest to support the tireless efforts of police officers to protect and serve in Washington on Oct. 10.

Founder and conservative author Candace Owens described the thousands of Americans who came to sing the national anthem as a stark contrast to extreme anarchist protests that swept across the nation, following the death-in-custody of Minnesotan George Floyd.

“Black Lives Matter protests end with rioting, looting, and the destruction of minority communities,” she said on Twitter. “BLEXIT protests end with 2,000+ black and Latino Americans singing the national anthem.”

Owens shared a video of the Back the Blue March showing several community groups represented, including Bikers for Trump and a “proud wife” of a medal of valor “hero” and sergeant. Others carried banners saying back the blue, police lives matter, and Expose Black Lives Matter (BLM) Inc.

The footage concluded with the entire group repeatedly chanting the United States of America.

Another image taken from the podium shows a crowd of protesters wearing blue near the Washington Monument with the hashtag, #blexit.

“I am so proud [of the] flag of United States,” Owens said.

Even though there was a large turnout, Owens was disappointed to learn very few major media outlets bothered to report on the protest.

“This is a beautiful moment that the mainstream media will not report on,” she said.

ABC News even suggested Owens should have to pay the broadcaster if she wanted favorable media coverage but she refused to do so. She decided to use her hard-earned money to reimburse some protesters who wanted to come and would struggle to pay for the trip instead, according to the Daily Wire.

She previously told the publication’s “Ben Shapiro Show: Sunday Special” that BLM is spreading a “big lie” about police officers unfairly targeting African Americans.

“[Systemic racism] is not at all an obstacle to black Americans today,” she said. “There is no systemic racism, there is no [segregation] law, there is nothing that says I cannot do something as a black person that you can do, so it is completely false. What we are really talking about is the fact that people want to absolve themselves of personal responsibility.”

She previously blamed mainstream news outlets and celebrities for encouraging Californians to open fire on two sheriff deputies in Compton, on Sept. 12.

“Why does this happen? Because pea-brained celebrities that are idolized like @King [LeBron] James tell young black men that they are ‘literally being hunted,'” she said on Twitter. “This is the natural result of such hyperbolic, dishonest rhetoric. The racist, anti-police, ‘Black Lives Matter’ lie is to blame.”
