A Democrat from California directed a fellow congressman to permanently seal his mouth during a congressional meeting about the deadly disease.

Rep. Maxine Waters experienced a temperamental outburst at a House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus (CCP Virus) meeting on April 15.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) had asked a final question for Anthony Fauci to confirm exactly when the nation would fully reopen. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director avoided giving a specific timeframe or measure, causing Waters to lose control completely.

“Your time expired, Sir; you need to respect the chair and shut your mouth,” she said in a video shared by Fox News.

The Democrat complained about Jordan continuing to press Fauci for an answer even though it was already her time to question the doctor.

“You are claiming my time; you are claiming my time,” she said.

She then ordered Jordan to be quiet and obey, as if she was the subcommittee chair.

“Order, regular order,” she said.

The Republican had pressed Fauci to provide measurable targets and outcomes that had to be met before every American could return to normality.

“Give us some objective standards versus when certain things get reached [so] we might be able to get back to having our liberty,” he can be heard saying in the video. “When [and] what are the numbers?”

The doctor avoided directly answering the question and suggested CCP Virus restrictions would ease if every American was vaccinated.

“Right now, we are at an unacceptably high level, on a daily basis, it is unacceptably high–regardless of who you are,” he can be heard saying. “As more and more people get vaccinated, and we get over 3 million people a day, you are going to see the level of infection come down and down, and gradually there will be more flexibility.”

Jordan demanded a more specific timeframe for exactly when life would again return to normal.

“Where does it get to when it comes down [and] what number do we get out liberties back?” he said. “Tell me the number.”

Before Fauci could admit he “cannot give” an estimated timeframe or benchmark, chairman Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.) interrupted. Clyburn responded the nation would reopen when “90 percent of the members of Congress get vaccinated.”

However, Jordan did not accept the Democrat’s answer because he is not a qualified primary health professional.

“You are not a doctor, Mr. Clyburn [and] he is,” he said. “What is the number?”

Clyburn continued to interrupt the Republican, saying his five minutes had expired and Fauci did not need to “worry” about answering this question anymore.

“We are going to handle this, and I think Mr. Jordan knows me very well,” the chairman said. “He knows full well that we are going to handle this. The time has expired, and the chair now recognizes [this.]”

Waters has a history of controversial behavior. She previously avoided responsibility for encouraging the general public to approach and bully Trump supporters back in 2018.

“As a matter of fact, if you look at the words that I used, the strongest thing I said was tell them they are not welcome,” she said according to Fox News. “[I said,] ‘Talk to them. Tell them they are not welcome.’ I did not say, ‘Go and fight.’ I did not say anybody was going to have any violence, and so they cannot make that stick.”

Waters also suggested Republicans should do everything possible to distance themselves from former President Donald Trump, who she called a disgraceful individual.

“The Republicans should be afraid, not only about the destruction of our democracy but if they continue to support him and allowed themselves to be guided by him, they are going to have to live with a president that dictates to them every vote they can take, every vote they cannot take,” she said. “He is going to be in their primaries. They will be owned by this dishonorable human being.”
