Body fluids gathered during pandemic vaccine trials could theoretically be used to manufacture a new virus to target different ethnic groups, a conservative writer has warned.
American Conservative Union Foundation policy fellow Gordon Chang is very concerned about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) efforts to gather deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) samples from across the world. He believes the CCP’s collection of 80 million health profiles will not only be used to make a vaccine for the CCP Virus.
“Beijing is trying to extend its influence by making its vaccine available [and] collecting very sensitive information about people outside China,” he told Fox News. “What they are doing is they are saying, ‘We will get this vaccine to you, but we need to complete our trials, so we are going to use your population as the test. If you do not participate in these trials, you are not getting the Chinese vaccines.”
Chang, who authored the book “Coming Collapse of China,” believes the CCP might use sensitive information from the world’s largest DNA database in China to create new biological weapons that target people who belong to specific ethnic groups.
“The coronavirus [CCP Virus] is not the last pathogen that will be generated from Chinese soil, and so we have got to be concerned that the next disease is more transmissible and more deadly than the novel coronavirus,” he said. “China is probably trying to develop diseases that target not just everybody but target only certain ethnic or racial groups.”
He warns many biological weapons can cause serious illness or even death, and the CCP Virus is an obvious example of how a pandemic can cripple Americans, businesses, and even the entire economy.
“People have said biological weapons do not work, well, we do know they work because we had the coronavirus,” he said. “[The CCP Virus] may or may not have been a biological weapon, but we do know that it crippled the United States, and that is what Beijing is really looking for.”
He also suspects it is no coincidence the CCP Virus originated from Wuhan, China. There is a chance the disease was maliciously spread to the United States, which recorded some of the world’s highest number of infections and deaths.
At the time of publication, the nation had more than 15.1 million infections and 288,900 deaths, according to the Worldometer website.
He believes the U.S. government and other nations must act now to prevent the DNA samples from being misused and endangering countless lives. This includes preventing the CCP from acquiring U.S. companies that have records containing DNA profiles and other ancestry information.
Chang added that the CCP is ruthless in preventing the West from getting DNA data from Chinese people.
“We have got to be extremely concerned because that is not consistent with a country that wants to cooperate with the rest of the world—that is consistent with a country developing biological weapons,” he said. “We should not allow any Chinese or Chinese affiliated organization to test DNA of Americans and we have got to say to China [the CCP], ‘Either you agree to an inspections regime, or we are pulling out of the biological weapons convention.'”
