A Democrat who is usually responsible for prosecuting criminal cases in Pennsylvania warned he would mobilize his entire office to oppose the president’s request for election observers.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner has threatened President Donald Trump with swift action if he continues to ask for poll watchers in the City of Brotherly Love during the election on Nov. 3.

Krasner was outraged by what in other cities could be considered a fairly routine request, and even called it an attempt to silence voters.

“The Trump administration’s efforts to suppress votes amid a global pandemic fueled by their disregard for human life will not be tolerated in the birthplace of American democracy,” he said in a statement.

Krasner suggested the president did not abide by the law and behaved like a tyrant, even though the original request was politely worded.

“Philadelphians from a diversity of political opinions believe strongly in the rule of law, in fair and free elections, and in a democratic system of government,” Krasner said. “We will not be cowed or ruled by a lawless, power-hungry despot.”

He also joined House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in blaming the White House for the impact of the worldwide CCP (Chinese Communist Party) Virus.

“Donald Trump claims to be a ‘law and order’ president but his administration has posed the greatest danger to public health and safety in modern history,” he said. “More than 227,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 [CCP Virus], and we are again seeing infections spike across the country, [and] more than 100 police officers have died from COVID-19 this year–more than died from all other causes.”

If the Oval Office does not heed this warning, Krasner threatens to “swiftly” deal with any “criminal and violent attempts” to interfere with Election Day activities or “constitutionally required transfers of power.”

“Keep your Proud Boys, goon squads, and uncertified ‘poll watchers’ out of our city, Mr. President,” he said. “Break the law here, and I have got something for you.”

However, the Trump 2020 campaign was not backing down and continued to invite online and text message registrations from anyone who wants to be a poll watcher.

“Volunteer to be a Trump election poll watcher,” the president said on Twitter. “Sign up today.”

Trump 2020 campaign adviser Lara Trump urged supporters to be part of the president’s next “historic win.”

“Ready to fight for President Trump?” she said in a video shared on the Army for Trump website. “We need you, your friends, your neighbors, and your families to join our movement.”
