The second generation of the Chinese Communist Party high-ranking officials is not hesitant to show off their wealth.

In a new case, a second-generation son of a CCP official in Jilin Province boasted his family’s wealth and status online.

The son of Han Muen, who claimed to be the director of an irrigation department, said on a social platform: “I’m not afraid of this trivial matter. Let me tell you clearly. My father, greedier in a day, could earn more than you do in a year.”

These words have been spreading on the Internet over the past few days.

Some netizens persuaded him to keep a low profile. The man, instead, scolded: “Poor ghosts, I have trampled you under my foot all my life.”

The man bragged that his clothes were worth some months of a normal person’s salary.

Faced with questions from internet users, the man used his father to show off his family.

He said, “Do you know who my father is? My father is at the department level and is now a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. My father is Han Muen, director of the Water Resources Department.”

He revealed that he had bought a pair of trousers worth 3,400 yuan (504 dollars) after a discount, a Canadian jacket worth more than 10,000 yuan (1,480 dollars), and Boss brand clothes worth nearly 13,000 yuan (1,925 dollars).

The man showed off his Omega watch, which costs nearly 60,000 yuan (8,886 dollars). He said he bought it when he was 15 years old.

According to public information, Han Muen worked as deputy director of the personnel department at the Jilin Provincial Party Committee, director of the political bureau of the Jilin Provincial Public Security Department, and deputy secretary-general of the Jilin Provincial Party Committee.

In May 2019, he served as director of the Jilin Provincial Water Resources Department. In January 2022, he became the secretary-general of the Standing Committee of the Jilin Provincial People’s Congress, member of the 11th Jilin Provincial Party Committee.

Earlier, Wang Chengcheng and Zhou Jie, whose fathers work at the department level, also showed off their wealth on the Internet.

Wang Chengcheng is a female internet celebrity in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. On her social media account, which has over 3 million followers, she showed her luxury cars, houses, and goods in videos. In the final scene, a picture was added: “Thank you, Dad.”

Chinese people found in Wang’s history that, four years since she started her business at the age of 22, she had bought many luxury cars and mansions, causing a public uproar.

Subsequently, the Shenyang Public Security Bureau issued a notice saying that her father, Wang Moujiang, retired in February 2022. When he left office, he was working as a senior sheriff.

After the incident of Wang Chengcheng, Zhou Jie appeared on the Internet as another “second generation” child of a CCP official who showed off his assets.

Zhou Jie is less than 30 years old and lives in Jiangxi Province. He not only showed off his wealth but also his power, resources, and relationships.

Zhou Jie said that his father helped others get job promotions—at bars, other provincial officials handed his father the most expensive cigarettes, and a security guard gave him respectful service.

Facing questions from social media, Zhou Jie’s company, Jiangxi State-owned Capital Operation Holding Group, had to issue a notice verifying his speech on its WeChat account. The notice said that Zhou Jie had been suspended and cooperated with the investigation.

Chinese netizens sighed, complaining that they can’t believe the children of the CCP officials who boast of having extravagant lives and are already spoiled are the country’s seeds.
